The Company

In an era where obesity is a growing problem, Soccer Coaching 2000 has developed an innovative way for young people to learn new football tricks whilst keeping fit at the same time.

Founders Rosemary Jackson and Director of Coaching Wayne Clark launched the business in 1999 and have enjoyed tremendous success thanks to a strong team of FA qualified coaches and growing relationships with local authorities, schools and football clubs.

The company, which is based in Wolverhampton, provides weekly, holidays and community-based coaching sessions, all designed to improve the skills and fitness levels of young people.

The Situation

Soccer Coaching had always used IT in its basic form for the operation of the business, but were looking at other ways of promoting their company to a wider audience and establishing a strong brand.

The Solution

Working with expert advisers from Business Link West Midlands and the Chamber of Commerce, Rosemary and Wayne received funding and advice to set up a new website (www.soccercoaching2000.co.uk), which provides an initial portal for company information, the courses available and upcoming events.

The response has been phenomenal and the company used this platform to access additional assistance in implementing SAGE for its accounting procedures, electronic diaries for the coaching staff and a new database that has transformed the administration of the courses.

The Results
